JUDITH WRIGHT CENTRE PRESENT “SWALLOW & EXIT”

FRIDAY 6TH AUGUST 730PM

Ghostboy with Golden Virtues are Green Room Award* nominated avant-garde art rock brutes! For the first time in QLD they present their critically acclaimed two part punk kabaret feast “Swallow & Exit”.Featuring original songs about sex, death and the doors in-between, “Swallow & Exit” invites you to enter a world of Berlin debauchery & dance, live antagonism & sensuality, spoken weird theatre, and interpretations of Jacques Brel, Iggy Pop, Serge Gainsbourg, & ……Katie Perry!

Very special guests on the night include a solo set on grand piano by revered rock’n’roll vaudevillian Martin Martini, New York’s provocative punk performance artist Emily XYZ (The 2010 Arts Queensland Poet-in-Residence) as well as local sonic sex therapist Pascalle Burton.  This is an event for lovers and those wanting to love. The butterflies of the night have started to beat their wings….

This writer has been attending the Melbourne Fringe Festival for more than two decades now, and Ghostboy with Golden Virtues are far and away the best thing I have ever seen there. Epic psychosexual rock opera theatre of the f**king absurd. This bunch should be bigger than The Tiger Lillies. Yes. Inpress
